The last night of our European road trip we stayed at the Bodensee in Lindau (Germany). Lindau is a little island in the Bodensee, which is connected to the mainland by two bridges. The Bodensee is also known as Lake Constance, so don’t get confused by that. Lindau has a lovely old town, with a little harbor, a lighthouse, colorful restaurants which are often overgrown with ivy. We loved watching the sunset at the harbor, watching boats sail by on the Bodensee. After sunset the lighthouse is lighted in an atmospheric way, which we loved watching from the veranda of the restaurant where we were having dinner. It was only a short visit, but Lindau left a really good impression, I would love to take a boat trip in the Bodensee next time!
