APRIL 2025
I surprised Hielke for this birthday and booked a nature campsite for a weekend with friends. A friend recommended me Natuurcamping Quadenoord, where we booked a group camping spot. These group camping spots are located in a secluded area of the campsite, so it feels like your private camping spot. Quadenoord is located in het Beekdal, close to the Veluwe, so there is plenty of nature to explore. In this blogpost I will explain everything about this fun, off grid adventure!
Natuurcamping Quadenoord
Natuurcamping Quadenoord consists of two parts: one is the area where you can book individual spots and one is where the group camping spots are located. These areas are about 1,5 km apart, which is slightly confusing. They both have their own facilities. The camping spots do not have electricity and the campsite does not have drinking water, making it an off-grid experience. However, there is a dishwashing area and there are (hot) showers and bush toilets. You can find information on the tariffs for the regular campsite here. Expect to pay about โฌ 35 per night for two adults and a campervan.

Group camping spots
Natuurcamping Quadenoord has three group camping spots: de Bruidssuite, Paradijs and the Kleine Parel. Originally, I booked the smallest group camping spot, which is the Kleine Parel. However the owners upgraded us to Paradijs, which is bigger and has picknick tables. In summer, ‘Paradijs also has an open air covered group space, but this wasn’t installed yet when we visited. You can find more information about the group spots and the number of guests here. The group camping spots all have a minimum spend. De kleine Parel can be yours for about โฌ 250 per weekend, while Paradijs can host more people and costs at least โฌ 625. All of the group camping spots have no electricity.
My friend decorated the group terrain with balloons and we removed them when we went home ๐ You can do some activities in the area of Quadenoord, such as horseriding and yoga. You receive a leaflet when you book with information on how to participate. We just enjoyed the natural area and did a long walk in the forest and along the creeks. Even arriving is an adventure in itself, as you drive over a dirt road for about 15 minutes. We definitely loved our first nature campsite experience and we will book another one in the future. Keep an eye out on our vanlife updates to see where we end up next.
