THE WEIRDEST MUSEUM EVER: THE DALI MUSEUM IN FIGUERES

The Dali Theatre museum in Figueres must be the strangest museum I have ever visited. I was captured by the original exterior of the museum, so I knew I had to visit this museum as a daytrip from Barcelona. We took the train from Barcelona Sants station to Figueres Vilafant. From the train station in Figueres it is a twenty minutes’ walk, but we just took the bus instead.

The entrance for the museum is € 15 by day and it is also possible to visit at night for € 18. Please check the website for the opening times: https://www.salvador-dali.org/en/museums/dali-theatre-museum-in-figueres/info-practica/horaris-i-preus/.

The courtyard of the museum is quite lovely, but it gets stranger from there. I kind of felt like the museum was out to surprise or shock you. It was not my cup of tea, but definitely an interesting visit with humor. If you are a Dali fan or love surrealist art, this museum definitely is a must visit! I am not allowed to publicize pictures of the art inside, so I will only add pictures from the outside. The museum is located on a busy street, so therefore the pictures are not very picturesque.

We also walked through Figueres town for a short bit, but I did not love it as much as Barcelona, so we decided to head back shortly.
