SUNFLOWERS IN THE UK: VISITING GLEBE SUNFLOWERS IN THE COTSWOLDS

MARCH 2023

France might be known as a popular spot to visit the sunflower fields, that doesn’t mean other countries don’t have beautiful sunflower fields. I always do my research, checking out which sort of flower fields I can visit while I am on a holiday and I was happy I discovered Glebe Sunflowers in the Cotswolds. If you love flowers, visiting Glebe is the perfect way to incorporate some flowers into your holiday!

Practical information

The sunflowers at Glebe farm usually bloom at the end of July/beginning of August. In 2022 you had to book a timeslot via their Instagram, to be allowed in the fields, but it seemed like you could also drive up and pay your entrance ticket on the spot. The admission fee was about 5 pounds and for this amount you were allowed to roam in the fields freely and take as many pictures as you want. They also had a Pick your Own (PYO), so you could cut some sunflowers and pay according to the amount you picked.

Sunflowers

The sunflower field was super picturesque, located right next to a little Cotswolds village, you can see the church towering over the field in the background. Despite the Cotswolds being a popular area, it wasn’t busy in the sunflower fields at all. We visited in the morning and only encountered a few other visitors. We did visit on a super sunny day, so my pictures turned out a bit harsh. However, Glebe also offers some sunset sessions, if you want to take pictures in soft light I would take advantage of these. You can follow Glebe on Instagram to check out the relevant dates.
