I knew I really wanted to do a snow holiday with my 3 year old son, but I also knew it would be too early for a skiing holiday. I therefore decided to go to the Engadin region in Graubünden, Switzerland, as this region has some particularly kid friendly activities. Unfortunately, my back issues kept me from skiing during this week and I had lots of trouble walking. However, the Engadin region is so pretty, that I still really enjoyed myself with lighter activities, which were also perfectly toddler friendly. Continue reading for all my recommendations!

This is the number one blog I put off to write, as I have so many recommendations for Valladolid that actually writing this blog seemed daunting. We absolutely loved our time in Valladolid, it was our favorite destination of our Mexican road trip! And I am in love with the Caribbean Sea, and that is not near Valladolid, so this really means something. Valladolid is the perfect holiday destination, an old town with colorful houses and a lively square, incredible food scene, many interesting historic sights nearby and plenty of opportunity for swimming. We absolutely love the Caribbean Sea, so we knew we had to visit an island as part of our November Mexico trip. We have previously visited Tulum and Isla Holbox and were looking for a different destination. I decided to book a few days on Isla Mujeres. Isla Mujeres is located right in front of Cancun and therefore really easy to get too, you just have to go to the ferry terminal and within an hour you can be settled into your hotel. But is Isla Mujeres really that idyllic?
