THE TWIRLING TRAVELER
Over the Christmas period we were visiting Gdansk and I was looking for an interesting stop in Poland on our way back to the Netherlands, which is how I discovered Poznan. Poznan is not yet visited by the masses and you will mainly encounter Polish tourists over here. Poznan has a gorgeous baroque, pastel colored city center and it deserves more love than it currently gets. In this blogpost I will highlight Poznan’s best sights.
Being an art lover I sometimes visit a city especially for a museum. In this blogpost I created a list of my favorite art museums, some very well known, while others are less visited hidden gems. This list is in a random order, as different moods ask for different kind of museums, but as I live in the Netherlands, I featured many Dutch museums.
If you are looking for an original city trip in winter time, I have the perfect recommendation for you: visit Gdansk in Poland! We ended up being too late for the Christmas markets which take place in early December but still loved our winter visit to this beautiful city. Even during the Christmas break, it still wasn’t very crowded in Gdansk. Gdansk is mainly visited during the summertime, because of nearby beach town Sopot, so if you are looking to visit it without the crowds, I would advise to visit during the off season.
