THE TWIRLING TRAVELER
On our way to Prague we stopped in Hann. Münden. I follow some German photographers on Instagram and had seen incredible photos of this traditional fachwerk town. Hann. Münden has 700 half-timbered houses, a very large concentration, so I had to see this with my own eyes. I found Hann. Münden such a hidden gem, it’s historical buildings were beautifully preserved, yet it didn’t feel like an open-air museum and actually was a lively town. In this blogpost I will show you my pictures, so you can see why you should visit.
To me 2022 was an amazing year for travel, with many travel highlights. Despite all the difficulties in the world right now, we were able to visit many countries and tick off items of the bucket list. The year was relatively COVID-restriction free which made planning and country-hopping a lot easier than the two years before. I finally was able to visit the UK again and overall was super happy with all the stunning locations that I got to experience.
One of the must sees in Scotland is Isle of Skye. For such a little island, it is incredibly diverse in nature and you can fill your days with beautiful hikes and activities in nature. We visited in July, which is part of the high season, and were blessed with three incredibly sunny days. Apparently, this is very rare, but it helped us make the most out of our days. Because of the amazing weather, we were able to do all activities that I had planned and I will summarize our Isle of Skye itinerary in this blogpost.
