I have to admit that before 2020 I had no idea that Germany had so many charming towns and cities. Of course I have been to big cities such as Berlin, Hamburg and Dusseldorf, but there is so much more to discover in Germany! Over the last years Hielke and I stayed in some super cute towns. I hope this blogpost inspires you to visit more places in Germany than just the standard, big towns. Even if you pass through Germany, on your way to another country, it certainly is worthwhile to stay the night in one of the cute towns that are featured on this blog: Freudenberg & Esslingen am Neckar.

The Sauerland is one of the locations that is likely to have snow during winter, which is close to the Netherlands. We were craving a snowy adventure and decided to drive to Sauerland for a weekend of winter camping. I did not expect that wintercamping would be so popular, but in Sauerland lots of people come by campervan. In this blogpost you will find practical information about Sauerland and Winterberg.

I have new book recommendations for you! I finally read some books that I found good or amusing enough to actually recommend and you will find them in this blogpost. To make this an extra cheerful blogpost, I also included my dahlia pictures of November 2021. A friend spotted beautiful dahlia fields for me, so I had to take a quick visit in between the rain showers. Super unexpected to find these gigantic fields in November so close to my home. I am currently preparing for the upcoming flower season, so this is the perfect timing to include them in the blog.
