France is not the only place where you can visit Lavender fields. During my trip to the South of England I discovered several lavender farms. I decided to visit Castle Farm – the Hop Shop in Kent as it fit perfectly into our itineary. Lavender season takes place from mid June – end of July in England.

Leeds Castle is located in Kent, contrary to what one might think. Leeds Castle is so lovely that it is worth visiting Kent for. I really enjoyed my daytrip strolling through the castle’s gardens and having a peek in Lady Baillie’s private rooms.

On my British road trip I had to bring a visit to Kent, as the region Kent is known as the garden of England and is famous for its lush gardens. Together with the Cotswolds it is one of the greenest areas of England. When we visited in July the hollyhocks were in full bloom, which added extra color to everything we have visited.
