From the pictures I expected Bernkastel-Kues to be the cutest town in the Mosel area and I was not disappointed when we visited this past summer. Move over Cochem, I have got a new favorite! Bernkastel is full with cute fachwerk houses, pretty fountains and is surrounded by vineyards. We had the best time in Bernkastel-Kues and in this blogpost I will tell you all about it.

You have probably never heard of Schloss Herrenchiemsee, but you have probably heard of Schloss Neuschwanstein. What do these two castles have in common? They are both commissioned by King Ludwig II who loved building over the top castles. Schloss Herrenchiemsee takes a bit more planning to visit and in this blogpost I will explain exactly why you must visit and how you should visit.

One of Croatia’s most magical sights is Rovinj. Definitely not a hidden gem anymore, very popular with Dutch tourists and highly worth a visit. The combination of the Adriatic sea and colorful Venetian architecture is a stunning combination. You can easily stay in Rovinj for a week, as you can do many interesting daytrips from Rovinj. In this blogpost I will give my recommendations for this area.
