One of Croatia’s most magical sights is Rovinj. Definitely not a hidden gem anymore, very popular with Dutch tourists and highly worth a visit. The combination of the Adriatic sea and colorful Venetian architecture is a stunning combination. You can easily stay in Rovinj for a week, as you can do many interesting daytrips from Rovinj. In this blogpost I will give my recommendations for this area.

Ideally, I would always travel seasonly, some destinations just have to be visited in the right season. With the Christmas season upon us, it is time to do your research on which Christmas markets to visit this year. I have visited my fair share of Christmas markets over the last year, I always manage to visit a few markets a year, so I was able to put together this “Christmas markets in Europe guide”. The Kravica waterfalls in Bosnia have become a very popular activity over the past years. However, there are still ways to enjoy these beautiful falls without crowds. We stayed the night at the campsite which is located right next to the waterfalls, staying here gives you unlimited access to the falls (after you paid the entrance fee) and you can enjoy them in quiet times. The experience in Kravica reminded me of traveling in South-East Asia, with lush nature, which you are allowed to participate in. In this blogpost I will give you a realistic image of what to expect when visiting Kravica waterfalls.
