For me, 2020 will go down as the year that I hardly visited locations from my bucket list, but did lots and lots of Dutch day trips instead. Zaanse Schans is an activity that belongs in the list of Keukenhof, Giethoorn, Volendam and Kinderdijk. These are locations that hardly cross my mind when planning a trip, so I had not done too many of these trips before 2020. You have to keep yourself entertained in times of crisis, so I decided to make a day trip to Zaandam and Zaanse Schans with my mother.

Everyone who knows me, knows I love a good glass of wine, so it is no surprise I love visiting wine regions. Over the past years I have visited several wine regions, of which I loved some more than others, so I decided to dedicate a blogpost to this hobby of mine. All wine regions have their own advantages and disadvantages and in this blogpost I will give you all ins and outs regarding the wine regions.

For Hielke’s birthday I gifted him with a weekend trip to the Veluwe, and surprisingly we were actually able to go despite of COVID-19. Hielke and I had been wanting to stay the night in a Yurt for quite some time, so we were happy to that we got to make this happen in the disappointing year of 2020. We found our weekend in the Veluwe the perfect break from all the COVID madness and even forgot that we were in a pandemic for a short amount of time. I would absolutely recommend to book a weekend in nature as this is the perfect way to take your mind off the current situation.
