I can’t believe it’s been a year since our wedding, on the one hand it seems like it happened yesterday, but on the other hand it could also be years ago. COVID-19 really makes me loose all sense of time.. and because of it I was able to complete our wedding album! As I cannot show it live, I decided to dedicate a blogpost to the most beautiful day of our life 😉 This blogpost is going to be way too long as I have so many pictures to share and writing this blog is an amazing trip down memory lane!

This is anything but a travel blog, but it seems like 2020 is going to be that way. A few weeks ago I was still making summer travel plans, but every day it seems more unlikely that we will be able to get out of the country in the next few months. I am trying to make the best out of this situation and we are spending our time renovating our home and going for walks nearby. One of my favorite spots in the neighborhood is the Sonse Heide, a small nature reserve which is only a few kilometers from our home. The nature there reminds me of my favorite Dutch nature reserve “The Veluwe”, except that there are less hills. Usually I only come here when I go mountainbiking, but the Sonse Heide has become my go to spot for walks and photography right now. I will finish off this blogpost with some book recommendations, as I am currently reading even more books than I usually do.

I love taking pictures of and with flowers! If you plan everything optimally, you can enjoy flowers almost all year long. I was supposed to be in Paris for wisteria and cherry blossom season, but unfortunately we are all staying in the proximity of our homes. Luckily, the Netherlands is a true flower country and I was able to spot lots of flowers in my neighborhood this year. This blogpost includes some of my favorite flower experiences of the past as well as some recent flower pictures taken in my neighborhood.
